Statement on the review of the European key competences (27 April 2017)

In the context of the public consultation by the European Commission on the review of the key competences framework, the Vlor formulated a statement that clarifies how the partners from Flemish education want to see key competences in the future.

The first part of the statement focuses on the objectives and status of the key competences framework; a second part formulates suggestions related to the following competences:

• Communication in the mother tongue and in foreign languages;
• Social and civic competences;
• Cultural awareness and expression.
